Day 338

I’m calling this day the battle of the snow. Maggie vs. The Snow storm. As of right now it’s Snow Storm: 2; Maggie: 0. We headed back to Astoria to drop off our Christmas presents before the snow got really bad but by the time we got to Astoria there was already snow on the ground. I opened the door to the car and as soon as I put my weight on my feet they came right out from under me! What I found out about thirty seconds later is there was a layer of ice underneath the small layer of snow. Here is the damage: I felt right on my hip and right shoulder and now have limited use of my right arm. On my right shoulder was my purse which contained my camera. I broke my 50mm lens (thank god that’s it!). What I learned is I will NEVER carry my camera in my purse again (even if I’m just going a short distance.) I will now be taking donations for the awesome camera bag which looks like a purse that I want really bad. Anyway, after all the freaking out and checking my camera I put on one of my other lens and started documenting the crazy snow fall from our window. I liked this picture the best. I hope everyone is staying inside and warm or at least just playing outside in the snow. Remember to look before you walk.
